I Want My Giant Land

Joshua 14:12-15

"So now give me this hill country of which the Lord spoke that day. For you heard then how the [giant like] Anakim were there and that the cities were great and fortified; if the Lord will be with me, I shall drive them out just as the Lord said.

Then Joshua blessed him and gave Hebron to Caleb son of Jephunneh for an inheritance.

So Hebron became the inheritance of Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite to this day, because he wholly followed the Lord, the God of Israel.

The name of Hebron before was Kiriath-arba [city of Arba]. This Arba was the greatest of the Anakim. And the land had rest from war."

Caleb wanted his giant land! He said because he WHOLLY followed The Lord...

I want my spirit stirred up, I want my giant land! I want my spirit, soul and body serving Jesus wholly like He Deserves!

Demanding Attention

Exodus 9:13-18

"Then the Lord said to Moses, Rise up early in the morning and stand before Pharaoh and say to him, Thus says the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, Let My people go, that they may serve Me.

For this time I will send all My plagues upon your heart and upon your servants and your people, that you may recognize and know that there is none like Me in all the earth.

For by now I could have put forth My hand and have struck you and your people with pestilence, and you would have been cut off from the earth.

But for this very purpose have I let you live, that I might show you My power, and that My name may be declared throughout all the earth.

Since you are still exalting yourself [in haughty defiance] against My people by not letting them go,

Behold, tomorrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very heavy and dreadful fall of hail, such as has not been in Egypt from its founding until now."

Have you ever had a friend or family person that did, or said things that demanded you to pay attention to them?

I know I have done this many times and they dumped me as a friend. It is hard to think of God Being An Attention Getter. 

Most of us see Him far away like the Egyptians did, the Pharaoh had known of the stories of the Hebrew God, but because for hundreds of years that they were oppressed, they had no visible Power of His Being Their God... How about you....

Is there a visible knowing of His Being yours?

No Understanding of Peaceful Ways

Romans 3:17-18

"And they have no experience of the way of peace [they know nothing about peace, for a peaceful way they do not even recognize].

There is no [reverential] fear of God before their eyes."

Growing up in the "50's& 60's" there way a after war emotions, racism wars, Wars with other nations wanting us to come join them, and POW's coming home misplaced...

But churches were on a up raising... 

Peace was being looked for, which brought in the 70's for "Being Free To Love..." Hippies... Or none-easer...

"No reverence of God before their eyes..." In those days, and in these days... We are free to love Him, and His Way of peace... He established His Kingdom of Peace in our hearts where He Is Prince of peace... As the song sings; " Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus..."

Look full in His Wonderful Face of Peace...

How Can We Buy Something From Jesus

Revelation 3:18-20

"Therefore I counsel you to purchase from Me gold refined and tested by fire, that you may be [truly] wealthy, and white clothes to clothe you and to keep the shame of your nudity from being seen, and salve to put on your eyes, that you may see.

Those whom I [dearly and tenderly] love, I tell their faults and convict and convince and reprove and chasten [I discipline and instruct them]. So be enthusiastic and in earnest and burning with zeal and repent [changing your mind and attitude].

Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears and listens to and heeds My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will eat with him, and he [will eat] with Me."

The Thought for Today Is; " Can you Buy Anything Earthly from Jesus?"

The Gold of faith, The Cloth of Being True, The Salve Of Heathy and Wealth of Mind....

Jesus Said come... Buy this from Him...

Opening up a door, and He walks in with all His Stuff... Sounds Real To me...

He Has Shown Us His Way

Micah 6:8-9

"He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, and to love kindness and mercy, and to humble yourself and walk humbly with your God?

The voice of the Lord calls to the city [Jerusalem]—and it is sound wisdom to hear and fear Your name—Hear (heed) the rod and Him Who has appointed it."

Time has taught us, money has deceived us, friends have left us, but The Word Is always Sure... What He says, He will do... "He has shown you o man what is good, what The Lord requires of you.... Do justly, love mercy.... Walk the right way, humbly without outside agenda, and let it be The Lord's Way..."

His Voice Is calling out to you now.... Showing you He Is real, and really in love with you, to the point of giving His life for yours.

He Has Laid In Zion

Isaiah 28:13-16

"Therefore the word of the Lord will be to them [merely monotonous repeatings of]: precept upon precept, precept upon precept, rule upon rule, rule upon rule; here a little, there a little—that they may go and fall backward, and be broken and snared and taken.

Therefore hear the word of the Lord, you scoffers who rule this people in Jerusalem!

Because you have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with Sheol (the place of the dead) we have an agreement—when the overflowing scourge passes through, it will not come to us, for we have made lies our refuge, and in falsehood we have taken shelter.

Therefore thus says the Lord God, Behold, I am laying in Zion for a foundation a Stone, a tested Stone, a precious Cornerstone of sure foundation; he who believes (trusts in, relies on, and adheres to that Stone) will not be ashamed or give way or hasten away [in sudden panic]."

There has been many songs sang by both Hebrews and Christian believers. 

The Corner Stone is The Messiah, Christ Jesus. He, Who is known as "God come in the flesh..." Who will deal with scoffers of His where ever they are... He will give us a sure footing as we walk on His Truths, and run on flat strong Stone, but those who believe the lies and make a deal with hell, will be ashame.

Preaching With A Party Spirit

Philippians 1:15-18

"Some, it is true, [actually] preach Christ (the Messiah) [for no better reason than] out of envy and rivalry (party spirit), but others are doing so out of a loyal spirit and goodwill.

The latter [proclaim Christ] out of love, because they recognize and know that I am [providentially] put here for the defense of the good news (the Gospel).

But the former preach Christ out of a party spirit, insincerely [out of no pure motive, but thinking to annoy me], supposing they are making my bondage more bitter and my chains more galling.

But what does it matter, so long as either way, whether in pretense [for personal ends] or in all honesty [for the furtherance of the Truth], Christ is being proclaimed? And in that I [now] rejoice, yes, and I shall rejoice [hereafter] also."

Paul is talking to the Phillipians, and he said there are some of them just preaching Jesus out of aggression. 

Some preach Him because of their love and loyalty to Him. But he was telling them, at least He Is preached, He Is being proclaimed.... I and Paul agree! Jesus Is Lord, He Is Worthy, He Is coming to get me!!!!!
